How it works

How HelloHere works

HelloHere is made for the moment you are already out. It helps you notice who else in the room is open to meeting someone, and makes saying hello feel normal again.

  1. Scan the venue QR

    At a partner bar, rooftop or café, scan the HelloHere code on your table or at the bar. No app store download: it opens in your browser.

  2. Take a live selfie

    Camera only. No gallery uploads, no filters. Your phone checks there is one clear face before you go visible.

  3. Be visible for 2 hours

    Confirm you are really there, then only people in the same venue who match your preferences can see you. No map, no distance.

  4. Say hello

    Send a hello. A conversation opens only if you both accept. You can also offer an alcohol-free drink, paid at the bar.

Before you go out

Create a short profile: a first name, your age, what you are open to (friendship, dating or both) and who you would like to meet. It takes about a minute. You must be 20 or older in Thailand.

At the venue

Scan the HelloHere QR code displayed by the venue. Take a live selfie with your phone camera. Then confirm you are really there: HelloHere checks your position once against the venue's perimeter, or you type the six-digit code shown at the bar. Your position is not stored or shown to anyone.

You are now visible for two hours to people in the same venue whose preferences match yours. If it is a quiet night, HelloHere says so. We never fill the screen with fake profiles.

Saying hello

Tap a profile and send a hello. The other person can accept or simply let it go. If they accept, a private chat opens so you can find each other in the room. If they do not, you are never told: no rejection notification, no awkwardness.

Offering a drink

You can offer an alcohol-free drink from the venue's menu. The other person accepts and picks their drink privately. You pay at the counter with a four-digit order code, the staff confirms, and the other person receives a one-time voucher to collect the drink. The venue keeps 100% of the price during the pilot. Offering a drink never obliges anyone to meet.

Staying safe

You can block or report someone in two taps. Blocking hides you from each other everywhere on HelloHere. Read our safety and privacy page for the full list of protections.

Do I need to download an app?
No. HelloHere runs in your phone's browser. Scan the venue QR code and you are in. You can add it to your home screen if you like.
Why a live selfie every time?
So that the person who sees your profile sees you tonight, not a photo from five years ago. The selfie is taken with the camera only, checked on your phone for one clear face, and deleted 24 hours after your session ends.
Can people see where I am?
Only that you are in the same venue, while you are visible. HelloHere never shows a map, a distance or the list of places you have been.
What happens after two hours?
Your visibility ends automatically. You can extend it if you are still there, or end it earlier with one tap.
